Kaslo has a diverse network of trails. From the Kaslo river trail, to trails around the village and other zones, like the True Blue, Branch 7 and the new Friendly Giant Trail. There's truly something for everyone to ride. Make your way back to The Waypoint patio to enjoy a cold drink while over looking Kootenay Lake.

iDIDaRide

For the competetive mountain biker, you will want to sign up for iDIDaRide -  Kaslo's XC Mountain bike and trail running event, featuring long and mid range races for both riders and runners, as well as a fun 5k ride and run race.

Golf

The Kaslo Golf Club offers a meticulously groomed 9-hole course, with 2,750 yards of challenging track for golfers of every skill level. You will rarely have to wait for a tee time, but if you do, you can enjoy the stunning views from their beautiful timber framed clubhouse.

Arts & Heritage

The picturesque Village of Kaslo is set on the shores of Kootenay Lake, and is dotted with beautifuly restored heritage buidlings. It is home to many talented artisans, boutique shops, and has a thriving cultural arts scene.

City Hall

Currently home to Kaslo's Government offices and a public Library, the buidling went through extensive renovations between 2010-2018 after been saved from demolition.

The Langham is a unique cultural center showcasing artists and performers from across Canada. The Heritage building that was rescued in 1975 has evolved into one of the Kootenay's liveliest and most charming cultural sites.

S.S. Moyie Historical Site, Kaslo

S.S. Moyie Historical Site

Kaslo is home to the oldest, in tact passengar Sternwheeler in the world. Step back in time and explore the beautifuly restored S.S. Moyie. The visitor center is open seasonally from Mother's Day weekend in May - Canadian Thanksgiving weekend in October.

Lake Sports

The open waters of Kootenay Lake offer endless fun for the family.  Head over to Kaslo Adventure Centre for stand up paddle board, kayak or canoe rentals. If you're up for something that will get you across the lake quicker, check out Jones Boys Boats in Woodbury for motor boat rentals. Their pontoon boat, equipped with an onboard barbeque is perfect for family fun! 

Fletcher Falls

10 minutes south of Kaslo, you will find the short hike down to Fletcher Falls. These spectacular falls form stunning ice crystals in the Winter. In the Spring you will be rewarded by the roaring falls from the Winter runoff.  Just beside the falls there is a sandy beach where you can spend the whole day skipping rocks, or enjoying a picnic with the family. 

Music and Entertainment

Experience Kaslo as it comes alive with music, people, and entertainment. Locals look forward to these festivities through out the year, and visitors flock from all over the globe to experience the small town celebrations.

Kaslo Jazz Festival

Kaslo is home to the world class Summer music festival "Kaslo Jazz Ect." where famous artists perform on a floating stage in the Kaslo Bay. With activities all weekend long, the festival is suitable for families of all ages.

Kaslo May Days

For a May Long getaway, and a true small town experience, Kaslo Maydays Festival provides a weekend of unique entertainment and fun. Come and watch the logger sports, or the local school children perform the tradional Maypole Dance at Vimy Park. Other weekend entertainment includes: live music, kids activities, an old fashioned car show and baseball games.

Winter in the Forest

Celebrate B.C. Family Day (February 20th) in Kaslo with woodsman sports, and family friendly competitions. Cross country skiing, plus great entertainment make this event a classic small town experience.
