Front Desk Lead
Full-time 5 days/week AM & PM
About the role
We're looking for a guest-focused, dependable leader to join our team as Front Desk Lead. This full-time position plays an important role in shaping the guest experience — from the moment of arrival through check-out — while also helping strengthen coordination between our front desk and housekeeping teams.
Schedule
This is a 5-day-per-week position with 3 shifts at the front desk and 2 shifts supporting housekeeping each week. Candidates should be comfortable working a mix of AM and PM shifts as needed.
Front desk responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide professional, friendly service throughout their stay
- Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and payment processing accurately
- Respond to guest inquiries and provide information about the hotel and local area
- Support communication between front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and management
- Ensure guest requests are followed up on and any concerns are raised promptly
Housekeeping responsibilities
- Support room cleaning and turnover to meet hotel cleanliness standards
- Assist with laundry and supply stocking as needed
- Communicate room status clearly and flag maintenance concerns
- Help ensure guest rooms and common areas are ready before arrivals
What we're looking for
- Dependable, organized, and guest-focused with a positive attitude
- Comfortable taking initiative and leading by example
- Willing to work full-time across both front desk and housekeeping shifts
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills
- Experience with WebRez or similar booking platforms is an asset

Sous Chef

The historic Kaslo Hotel is seeking a passionate, hands-on Sous Chef to help drive the kitchen team at The Waypoint Restaurant & Bar. This is a true working leadership role where you will lead by example from the front lines—actively cooking on the line and setting the pace during daily service shift after shift. Working side-by-side with our team, you will help our Executive Chef oversee daily prep, maintain high standards for our fresh, Kootenay-inspired menu, and bring a calm, steady leadership presence when the kitchen is busy.
