Front Desk Agent — Part-Time

We're looking for guest-focused, dependable people to join our Front Desk team. This part-time position plays an important role in shaping the guest experience — from the moment of arrival through check-out — while also helping strengthen coordination with our housekeeping team.

This is a part-time position, with shifts scheduled around front desk needs. Candidates should be comfortable working a mix of AM and PM shifts as needed.

Front desk Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide professional, friendly service throughout their stay
• Handle check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and payment processing accurately
• Respond to guest inquiries and provide information about the hotel and local area
• Support communication between front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and management
• Ensure guest requests are followed up on and any concerns are raised promptly
• Comfortable working a flexible, part-time schedule including AM and PM shifts
• Experience with WebRez or similar booking platforms is an asset

Front of House — The Waypoint Restaurant & Bar (Part-Time/Full Time)

The Waypoint is the heart of the Kaslo Hotel — fueling our heliski guests and welcoming the whole Kaslo community, lakeside in the heart of Kaslo. We're hiring warm, dependable people for:

Host

• Greet and seat guests, and set the tone for a genuinely welcoming visit
• Manage the flow of the dining room and communicate with servers and kitchen
• Answer questions about the menu, hotel and town

Server / Bartender

• Take orders and serve food and drinks with care and good timing
• Mix and serve drinks behind the bar, following responsible service practices
• Handle payments accurately and keep the space guest-ready
• Serving It Right (or equivalent BC certification) required, or willingness to obtain it

Sous Chef

Are you a skilled, high-energy culinary leader ready to make your mark on the shores of Kootenay Lake? The historic Kaslo Hotel is seeking a passionate, hands-on Sous Chef to help drive the kitchen team at The Waypoint Restaurant & Bar. This is a true working leadership role where you will lead by example from the front lines—actively cooking on the line and setting the pace during daily service shift after shift. Working side-by-side with our team, you will help our Executive Chef oversee daily prep, maintain high standards for our fresh, Kootenay-inspired menu, and bring a calm, steady leadership presence when the kitchen is busy. If you are a disciplined cook with strong station skills and a desire to bring energy and pride to a positive, team-driven kitchen, we want you on our line.
